Collège ( students aged 11 and 14 years)

The “Collège” is divided into 4 levels from “6e” to “3e” and structured in educational cycles.

Cycle 3, known as the consolidation cycle, bridges “Ecole” and “Collège” covering CM1, CM2, and 6ème.

Cycle 4, the advanced cycle, includes 5ème, 4ème, and 3ème.

At the end of Cycle 4, students sit for the Lebanese or the French Brevet. By this stage, they are expected to have mastered the main components of the common core of knowledge, skills and culture which are:

  • Languages for thinking and communicating encompasses various domains of expression and understanding. Students develop proficiency in French, both orally and in writing, alongside two foreign languages. They also learn to understand and communicate using mathematical, scientific, and technological language, as well as the expressive languages of the arts and sports.
  • Methods and Tools for Learning.
  • The building of the person and the citizen.
  • Natural systems and technical systems.
  • Representations of the world and of the human activity.
