Authorized to offer the IB PYP – Primary Year Programme
The PRESCHOOL starts in KGI and ends in KGIII
It offers children the opportunity to evolve in a multicultural and multilingual environment, and allows them to realize, from an early age, that the three languages (French, English and Arabic) are important communication tools.
The pedagogical priority is given to expression in all its forms (verbal, physical, artistic, emotional...), the value of the child, the respect for his individuality, and the development of his personality. Children are accompanied by a caring, qualified and experienced educational team.
The themes suggested by the PYP are collaboratively prepared by the Primary educational team. The IB Approaches to Teaching and Learning skills and the Inquiry based learning are at the heart of the Preschool curriculum and the adopted teaching methods.
Educational outings are thematically oriented and are learning opportunities during which learners are encouraged to relate the real world around them (farm, vegetable garden, theater, museum, cinema, etc.).
The CPF Metn gives great importance to the involvement of parents in the learning process. Parents thus have the opportunity to come to school to lead an activity for their child's classmates (read a story, prepare a cooking recipe, etc.). In addition, they are invited to attend the various theatrical and artistic performances organized at the rhythm of the festivals and celebrations during the year.
The premises of the Preschool are completely renovated. New facilities will be put in place in view of the evolution of learner numbers and in order to keep classes of moderate size (not exceeding 20 learners per class).
The ELEMENTARY SCHOOL starts in Grade 1 and ends in Grade 5.
Elementary school emphasizes the fundamental education of learners. It is the time where learners are acquiring the basic knowledge in various subject matters (English, Arabic and French languages, Mathematics, Sciences, Social Studies, Physical Education, Music and Arts).
The themes suggested by the PYP are collaboratively prepared by the Primary educational team. The Approaches to Teaching and Learning skills and the Inquiry based learning are at the heart of the Elementary curriculum and the adopted teaching methods.
Learners are encouraged to connect with the small community around them and are guided to embrace and integrate the attributes of the IB learner Profile.
