Head of School

Dear Students, Parents, and Colleagues,

I am delighted to welcome you to the start of a new academic year at the English Section of CPF Metn – a vibrant and growing IB World School. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, you are an essential part of our diverse and dynamic learning community.

The beginning of a school year is always filled with excitement, curiosity, and opportunity. Guided by the IB Learner Profile, our shared mission is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who will contribute to creating a more peaceful and sustainable world. This vision drives everything we do—whether in the classroom, through service, or in the many activities that connect us to our local and global communities.

At the same time, we recognize the profound changes shaping education today. Artificial Intelligence is rapidly becoming part of our world, and we are committed to preparing and accompanying our middle school students to embrace these changes steadily, confidently, and enjoyably.

To our parents: Thank you for your trust and partnership. Education in an IB World School is a collaborative journey, and your support is invaluable as we nurture your children’s academic growth, well-being, and international-mindedness. This year, we are excited to launch a Parents’ Committee by December 2025—a new era of shared vision and active contribution that will build on the many unforgettable moments we have already shared.

We have also listened carefully to your voices: integrated arts, enhanced technology labs, greater visibility, and richer learning experiences are on the way, ensuring that our students thrive in a well-rounded and future-ready environment.

To our teachers and staff: Your dedication, expertise, and creativity bring the IB philosophy to life each day. Through your commitment, you empower students not only to achieve academic excellence but also to develop the skills, values, and dispositions that will serve them throughout their lives.

I would also like to take this opportunity to once again congratulate the Class of 2025 on their remarkable success in the May 2025 examination session. Their results not only surpassed the world average but also stand as a testament to their hard work, resilience, and the unwavering support of their teachers and families.

As we embark on this academic year—marked by the celebration of the centenary of CPF Beirut—let us continue to honor our shared mission and values. I look forward to the learning, growth, and achievements that await us in the months ahead.

Welcome back, and may this school year be one of discovery, connection, and inspiration.

Warm regards,

Manal Adada
